Never getting older...

this would be me - performing one of my original songs

here you can see my lovely grandma (she's the one on the left)

the food would have been delicious if I could have tasted it - unfortunately I'm a vegetarian, so I only ate the vegetables (it was still very good though)

Not too long ago my Granny turned 70 and had quite a big birthday party. I was really honored and touched when she asked me to sing a few of my original songs in front of her friends and family.
Even though probably every second person in the room was commenting on how much I've grown up, we all had a really fun time at the party, as you can probably all see in the pictures.

I find it funny, how people don't seem to change to much getting older. Even though probably everyone there was at least 40 years older than me, some people I talked to were actually the funniest people I've ever met. We had great laughs! After I performed some of my songs between the dinner courses - I got asked to join in playing the guitar while someone else was playing 'Imagine' for my grandma on the clarinet. Got to admit it sounded a little funny...

However tomorrow will be New Years Eve and I hope everyone - doesn't matter if old or young - will rock 2013! I'll make sure to take lots of pictures and share them with you all as soon as possible! Let's make this the best year ever - with lots and lots of blogposts!

Lots of Love xx Jana

After Christmas Splurge

patent leather shoes - H&M
T-Shirt - CHRISTINE
jumper - CHRISTINE
Bicycle socks - H&M

All right, it's probably not the most clever thing to do - go shopping the first day after the christmas holidays. But well, I'm not the most clever person, I might say. So that's what I did.

With the intention to not buy anything and to 'only window shop', I got my christmas money and headed into town. Of course it NEVER works to 'just window shop'! The first shop I combed through was called: CHRISTINE. Now let me tell you, I've never been there before... and probably would never have, if my friend Kaja didn't insist to check it out. At first sight it looks a lot like stores like Tally Weijl or Pimkie.
Don't get me wrong, I sometimes like clothes from their stores but I'm not thrilled about them, not even starting on ranting about their quality... But inside this mystery store 'Christine' I actually found myself enjoying a lot of their collection. Of course I couldn't resist on even buying some stuff.
After all, it's still Christmas, isn't it?
Afterwards I even convinced my sensible-self (which basically said: "don't buy things you don't really need") and bought a few bicycle socks and a pair of patent leather shoes (I'm pretty sure they are fake leather) from H&M. All in all I'm quite happy with my little After-Christmas-Splurge!
Sometimes we just shouldn't be to hard on ourselfs, should we?

Snowless Winterwalk

I still have to get used to the fact, that there wasn't any snow on christmas. Again. Despite the snowless weather I went for a little walk with my brother and took some pretty nice pictures (if I may say). To be honest the main reason I could convince my brother to join my walk, was the fact, that he would become a facebook profile-picture out of it. - Short-Side-Note: He's very picky... and eventually wasn't quite happy with any of the pictures we had taken - However I feel quite pleased with the results, and couldn't dare not sharing them with you. Hope where you live, there's lots of snow and you feel very christmassy. You may notice the tiny christmass-obsession of mine behind these lines.

Hi, I'm Jana

Alright after the first pretty random post, I think I am ready for a more serious one. First of all I'd like to tell you a short little amount about myself.
I'm Tatjana.
I try to convince people to call me Jana - it doesn't always work.
I'm a 18 year old student from Germany.
I have once lived in the USA/Chicago but moved back after five years of childhood and pre-preschooltime.
Since I love everything to do with the english language (--> the reason I'm writing in English not in German).
I am obsessed with music.
Currently I am going to an Art-School in Munich.
But even though I love drawing, painting and creating - my dream is to become a songwriter. Preferably a singer-songwriter.
Getting my hopes high.
I'm a dog person.
But I do not not like cats.
I'm a dreamer.
I try to be a happy person.
I write depressing songs.
I play the guitar.
I've got three (not always) lovely little brothers.
I'm probably a little to obsessed about coffee... but i still like tea... preferably blood-orange-tea.
I like musicals and love concerts.
My room is dominated by chains of lights.
I play the guitar.
Black and white photography is my favorite.
If I had to name on favorite musician though, it would be quite challenging and right now I'd probably say Ben Howard (I just recently went to a concert of him - so he got dips).
I love going to the movies.
Socks with cute things on them make me happy (I just bought some with little bicycles).
I shouldn't go to Starbucks as often as i do.
I act weird most times when meeting new people.
Though I try to be myself all times.
Not offending - I really do not like Abercrombie & Fitch. It's not the clothes I don't like. It's more about the store, how they treat you, how they smell... it's quite hard to describe... never mind.
I prefer large beds.
I don't like to call people.
I'm good at spending money on clothes.
I like to watch people.
Although I get nervous talking in front of a lot of them.
Oranges are the best fruit ever.
Unfortunately I get an allergic reaction when eating them.
Watermelons are good too.
I would really like to write a blog.
So I'm doing it.
Nice to meet you!

xx

FIRST RANDOM BLOGPOST

Ahh I'm starting a blog!
Now all I have to do is come up with something to say...
